Bio
Born and raised in Bigfoot country in the wilds of the Pacific Northwest of the United States, Dan Y Kim graduated from an Arts & Communications Academy and later moved to the southeastern swamplands to seek enlightenment from an arts educational institution. There he spent years meditating under a waterfall and earned two degrees in the multi-disciplinary arts. Upon completion, he was granted the honor of class recipient of the Post Production Gold Award in 1999 and later was the class recipient of the Advanced Achievement Award in 2001. Immediately after graduation, he spent some time working in the trenches of the broadcast graphics television industry where he was twice nominated for a NW Emmy award. He has since been working professionally with a variety of organizations creating motion graphics for companies such as Nike, Dolby, Adobe, Intel & Microsoft. His recent work includes a music video that premiered on Headbanger’s Ball and is currently playing on MTV2 and MTV Europe and was once charted as the #1 most streamed video on MTV2.com. His recent photography work has been published in Spin magazine, Portland Mercury and other print & online publications.
